I spent Sunday answering hotel correspondence and also working on TheCypressBuilding.com. David came and picked me up (I'm still at Rosie's housesitting and dog-sitting while she's in Florida). We went to Bravo's which is an upscale (just ask my credit card) Italian restaurant located at Bridgestreet, a mall here in the city. I had meatballs and mashed potatoes and he had veal parmasean. After dinner, we stopped by the grocery store. I told him to get me ONE chocolate candy bar. He brought me a whole bag! Abortion is in the news - front and center. The seemingly callousness and lack of reasoning concerning the woman's right to choose, really concerns me. Even some of my own family members are on FB pleading with anyone that isn't for abortion - to UNFRIEND themselves from their page. I just hope that these people don't really know what an abortion entails. If they do and they are still for this henioius procedure, I don't want to know it! Dr Marty Wynn was my college roommate and he posted the below, today on his Facebook page. I can't agree more. Their attitude on this subject really disturbs me and their apparent lack of wisdom, even more. *"I Cannot Grasp the Utter Wickedness of the Left...* *For the life of me, I cannot understand the outrage of the liberal left in not being able to freely execute babies. That is inhumane!* I read the expected stories of rape, incest, and other sexual predator acts, as justification for the murder of babies. The stories shared are horrible examples of the depravity and wickedness of the human heart. Of course, God never ordains or sanctions sin. He is not the author of sin, or any of the crimes describes. However, He alone is the giver of life, both physical and spiritual. He gives physical life when a man and woman fulfill the process of human sexuality. The forcing of this union (i.e. rape) is NEVER alright with God, or a civilized society. Neither is incest. Both are atrocious and the perpetrator of such a crime should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. God gives spiritual life when a sinner turns to Christ, by faith, and receives forgiveness and eternal life (John 3:16; 10:28). Yet, as stated, it is God Who gives life. It must be remembered that it is NEVER, under any circumstances, THE BABY's FAULT. Why should an innocent and faultless baby suffer the horrible pain of the the abortionist's process and loss his/her life before being delivered? How can any sane, rational, and loving person choose to execute an innocent baby and inflict the torture upon the baby as it is being torn apart limb-by-limb, or being burned alive by a saline solution, or some other form of torture from the abortionist? Yes, it is deplorable when a girl or lady is with child from the act of a rapist, or the incest of a family member, or the abuse from a trusted church leader. Yet, the child is not at fault and there are plenty of capable and loving couples who would welcome such a child into their home. They would offer that child love, warmth, and acceptance, which is totally contrary to what the abortionist will do. As a civilized society and nation, we CANNOT, and MUST NOT, sanction any more murdering of the preborn. To date, since 1973, over 63 MILLION BABIES have been the unwilling victims of the ruthless and murdering abortionist. The recently SCOTUS ruling has removed the protection of abortion as a Constitutional right. It should never have mishandled the U.S. Constitution so recklessly in 1973. We can now, as individual states, decide what each state will do on the issue. Personally, I hope that Georgia is one of those states who will declare it to be illegal. *Can I get some agreement on this?"* While I am an agnostic and do not agree, theologically, with Marty, as a human being, I am ABHORRED, HORRIFED and SICKENED by what an abortion involves and as such, certainly do NOT believe that a woman should have this right. If she doesn't want to raise the child, that's one thing. But to slash it into pieces, to murder it - absolutley not. And I am livid that ANYONE would be for this. Yesterday, I featured Tom Jones singing "I'll never fall in love again", over at The Highland Room at the CypressBuilding.com and for my thought of the day, I featured a wonderful poem by the great American poet, Edgar Albert Guest titled "Have you earned your tomottow?".
