I had a doctor's appointment way back in February and I JUST received a bill for what Medicare wouldn't pay! I guess they take their own sweet time. It' July!!!

Today, in The Highland Room, out in The Great Hall, I'm featuring the great Sarah Vaughan singing "My Funny Valentine". What a vocal range she had!!! I love it. And, in The Peachtree Room, I'm featuring another poem by Edgar Albert Guest. This time, it's titled "Life is what we make of it". It's a must-listen!

I had been told we were having a light lunch because we were going to a Brasilian steak house tonight. But at the last minute we decided to go to Zaxby's, instead. 

As we left to go, there came a downpour. And thankfully so because it has been SO horrificly hot lately. It cooled things off a little but now, it's right back to dessert-hot, here in Alabama.
