I overslept this morning! I didn't even wake up until 8:30 and Happy and I didn't get outside until 9:00.
When I got back (sun was horrid!) Rosie texted me and said she would pick me up at 11:45 for lunch. We went down the street to Culver's. She asked me for a suggestion and I remembered seeing Culver's in passing by, one day. I had been to Culver's in Atlanta and I knew it would be good. So, we went there.
Rosie liked it. We both got hamburgers and fries. Here she is, afterwards, waiting to get a chocolate milkshake. Of course, I had to get one too. She dropped me off and she had to go out to Kaitlin's. Kaitlin and Jared got a new puppy and they were both at work so Rosie went out to take the dog out and try to get it to use the bathroom outside - potty training!
I checked in with the hotel and there was one piece of correspondence to answer to one of our guests. Then, I clicked to The Highland Roomwhere I have decided to feature the late, great Opera diva, Jessye Norman. She is in concert and is performing several American pop pieces. This is one of my favorite performances of her's. Be sure to listen to it. I will leave her there for several days, it's so good! And, in The Peachtree Room, I am featuring a great talk by the late Zig Ziglar. He's talking about one's attitude.
As far as my book manuscrpt goes, I'm working on the very first chapter and it concerns the prearrival of the guest to the hotel. At the present, I'm working on a poem to go on the page opposite the beginning of the chapter.
How pleasant this is: I'm sprawled out on the sofa, drink to the side, air blowing in my face and beautiful string music playing in my ears as I "work".
