Yesterday afternoon, David had to go downtown for an appointment and so I had him drop me off at Barnes and Noble Bookstore, to pick me up when he was finished. I had a leisurely time of sitting in an overstuffed chair, sipping a beverage and looking at one magazine after another. I couldn't resist snapping this picture. I thought it was . . . interesting.
After David was finished with his appointment, he picked me up and we went out to University Drive. We wanted to try Rosie's Mexican Cantina. We both had heard great things about it and once before, I met a friend at a smaller satelite of this chain by the hospital. We were really pleased. We already have found our favortite go-to for Italian, Chinese and American. And now, we think we have found our favorite go-to for Mexican. It was really good. David had Enchiladas and I had tacos. We got out of there for $50.00, including the well deserved tip.
In other news, today as yesterday, I'm featuring the great Opera diva, Jessye Norman as she performs a concert of American pop songs. She's in The Highland Room out in The Great Hall of TheCypressBuilding.com. I'm going to leave her there for several days because she is one of my favorite musicians and this is one of my favorite performances of her's.
