The man above, was one of our servers at Texas de Brasil, recently. I thought his smiling face would go along with the quote above. 

Last week, we were out to lunch and I began to feel bad. I ended up passing out. So, I made an appointment with the doctor and my appointment was yesterday. He says that my pulse rate is low and that it's due to one of the strong blood pressure medicines he has me on. So he had reduced the mcg's and we'll see what effect that has. He also said that my triglycerides are twice what they should be. He wasn't happy with me. So, I have had to change my diet. No more cookies, cake, fast food, cokes, sweet tea: all the things that make eating a pleasure (to me). But one has to do what one has to do. I am supposed to go back in two weeks so we will see what he says then. 

Today and for the next several days, out in The Great Hall, in The Highland Room, here at TheCypressBuilding.com, I'm featuring the great Jessye Norman, as she performs a number of great American pop songs. Ms Norman was a famous opera star, beloved the world over but I thought she did a wonderful job with these lighter pieces. Be sure to visit the room and enjoy her concert. 

The other day, I met a friend for lunch and while was waiting, I sat here and just "people watched". I enjoyed myself.
