Well, today is my birthday. And so, I've treated myself. First, in The Highland Room, out in The Great Hall here at TheCypressBuilding.com, I'm featuring one of my very favorite artists: Shirley Bassey. This is a concert that she performed back in 2009, when she was 72 years old. 72!!! She sure doesn't look or sound it. But it's one of my favorites and I know you will enjoy it. Then, in The Peachtree Room, also in The Great Hall, I'm featuring a wonderful speech given at a college graduation titled: "How ya livin?". I have always enjoyed it so I reposted it today so I could listen to it. I bet you will enjoy it too. 

I mentioned that it is my birthday today. David made me Shepherd's Pie and then he presented me with a very delicious cake (pictured above). He had enough wisdom to only put one candle on it because if he had put candles for all my birthdays, the candles would have FILLED UP the cake and melted the delicious icing!! But I had a good birthday. It was a very quiet and uneventful day spent at leisure, here at home. I awoke to a bunch of texts from friends and family, then Facebook wishes and David's cake. I had a great day.
