I was up early, by 6:00. Roxie and I went out and then, it was off to my own apartment where I walked Happy. She has NO concept of traffic. If I didn't have her on a leash, she'd be run over, for sure.
Around 1:00 in the afternoon, I called an UBER and had it take me to the Hartlex Antique Gallery over on University. I found this store online and wanted to take a look because I'm looking for a chest. WHAT A STORE! It was so beautiful. They had so many beautiful oil paintings in gorgeous frames and their furniture was exquisite. Indeed, I found a chest that I think will fit where I want to put it and it was very reasonable (considering its beauty). But I didn't buy it. I'm "thinking about it". We'll see. I could have spent hours in that store but I was hungry and could feel my blood sugar changing so I walked down the street to "Burger King" and ate. Then, it was on to some more stores on that street.
Later that afternoon, around 4:00 I called another UBER to take me home. And low and behold, it was an UBER driver that I had used before. He is from Venezuela and has just become a citizen. We spoke the whole trip in Spainsh and I congratulated him on his citizenship.
After I got home and walked Roxie again, I fixed myself a glass of tea and sat down to answer some hotel correspondence. There was one guest in particular that was upset with us. Guests are so subjective and so I had to put my words together very carefully in my response to her.
Rosie texted me to say that they will be home tomorrow so my time of housesitting is coming to an end!
Today, I'm featuring the late famous Mexican singer and composer, Juan Gabriel over at The Highland Room at TheCypressBuilding.com. He's singing "Costumbres" and it is very pretty.
