Yesterday morning, I had walked up and bought breakfast. Right next door to the breakfast place is a restaurant called Crickets. I have seen it ever since I moved here but had never eaten there. So, I decided for lunch that I would walk up there and try it. And I'm glad I did. It's just really, a "hole in the wall". But the food was SO good and the lady that waited on me was so friendly. I'll certainly go back. They advertise themselves as a chicken and wings type of place but I just got a hamburger and fries. I got out of there for 20.00 including the tip so I thought that was good.
Today, in The Highland Room, out in The Great Hall of TheCypressBuilding.com, I am featuring the great British tenor, Alfie Boe and he is singing the great song from Les Miserables, "Bring him home". This singer is one of my favorite and he does a magnificent job. Be sure to click over and hear him. Also, in The Peachtree Room, I am featuring Simerjeet Singh as he reads a wonderful poem that I've featured before: "Don't Quit". I hope that you will give it a listen. Also, let me encourage you to check out the credit cards at the top of the screen. I personally, have each one and they've brought me many free miles to travel with as well free points to book hotels with, in my travels. Check them out!!
This afternoon is being spent on my manuscript of my book. It's slowly coming along. I'm glad I have Hugh (who's a writer) to look to for help. It's proving to be harder than I thought. But I'll get there. I'm sitting here with gorgeous piano music in my ear, the air blowing on me and delicious thoughts of tacos to come (that's what I've been told we're having). So, life could be harder.
