"Never esteem anything as of advantage to thee that shall make thee break thy word or lose thy self respect."

Marcus Aurelius

Good morning on this Saturday. I have Jackie Gleasons's orchestra playing as I write this. You should open up another window and click on this link and then pull up your previous window so that you can enjoy him with me as you read.

If you're are reading my journal entry today, I'd like to invite you over to The Highland Room, here at TheCypressBuilding.com. I am featuring the late Juan Gabriel as he sings one of his most famous songs: "Hasta que te conoci" (Until I met you). He was one of the most famous and prolific singers and songwriters in Mexico and was affectionally known as "Juanga". The song is translated for you. You really should give it a listen.

And while you're in The Great Hall, there, click into The Peachtree Room where motivational speaker, Simerjeet Singh, is reading a wonderful poem: "My soul has a hat". It has a great thought and I know you will enjoy it.

Well, I'm really having a time with my blood pressure. It went down for several days but has gone back up. I'm glad that I have a physical scheduled for this coming week and I will give the doctor my readings and see what he says. I have cut out sugar as that is known to be a culprit to high blood pressure as well as a host of other things and so, right now, I'm in the throws of sugar withdrawals. I feel like a mac truck has run over me.

I mentioned in another post how that I had booked a cruise in November to Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya. I prepaid it. But the problem is that I have already been to Cozumel. I'm not too excited about going back for second time when there are so many other places to visit. So, I called the cruise line and they said that when I found another cruise that I want to go on, to call them and they would transfer my payment to a new reservation. I have found a great cruise going out of New York City on a ship that I have already been on and that I like. It's a Canadian Cruise. I will use some points that I have built up with Amtrak and go up to New York where I will enjoy that city for two or three days and then I will embark on The Oasis of the Seas (one of the LARGEST) ships in their fleet and go to Canada for 5 days, returning to New York, where I will reboard onto Amtrak and go home. I am more excited about that than going to somewhere I've already been. Although, I have also been to New York beore, I could go there a thousand times and not see everything.

If you read my journal and ever would like to comment on something I've posted about, just hit "reply" at the top of the screen.

I wish you a great day!!
