Today, in The Highland Room, out in The Great Hall, I'm featuring the late Juan Gabriel as he performs his song, "Amor Eterno", about the love for his mother. I love it. And, in The Peachtree Room, also in The Great Hall, I am featuring for the second day, Edgar Albert Guest's great poem, "It couldn't be done". Be sure to hear it, read by motivational speaker, Simerjeet Singh.
Today, Rosie picked me up and we went over to get an iced coffee and some beignets. No, we weren't in New Orleans but it seemed like we were at a cross between a Starbucks and the French Quarter down in New Orleans. Rosie got a pepperment iced coffee and I got a white chocolate iced coffee. They were so good. And the beignets were delicious, yet very messy. By the time I was finished, I had white sugar all over the table, as well as on myself. But it was worth it.
I had planned to go with David to Good Hope, Alabama today for a meeting with some clients that he had planned but at the last minute, they cancelled so it was an afternoon of leisure in my recliner, answering reviews for the hotel as well as working on various other things. We feasted on Enchiladas for lunch today and I'm not sure what supper will bring.
I met up with one of my neighbors in the lobby today and she informed me that we are having a big Thanksgiving get together this next week. So we are looking forward to that.
