I mentioned that a medicine that the doctor had me on had caused my heart rate to plummet. So he changed the dosage. But he has me on three different blood pressure medicines. Also, my triglycerides were twice what they should be and he told me it was all related to my diet. And I am overweight. So, I decided that I would cut out all sweets and fatty foods AND to increase my water intake. So I did. And my blood pressure went DOWN! 

And then, yesterday, we went out to eat. We had a $50 free voucher and it was burning a hole in my pocket, so we went to the restaurant. I was feeling bad and had no energy and we figured it was from sugar withdrawals and since I had done so good theretofore, we decided "it wouldn't hurt" if I had some sweet tea with my lunch. And it just so happened that the meal I ordered, came with a FREE dessert. Well, I ended up cheating before I knew it. 

My point: I had quiet a bit of sugar yesterday and this morning, my blood pressure was right back up!!! I don't know if that's coincidence or not, but I am NOT having anymore sugar no matter how bad I feel and I am going to watch my BP and see if it goes back down. Wish me luck. I've been told that this afternoon, we are going to Rosie's Cantina but I absolutely will have water, with no tea or other sweets.

This morning, Happy took me for my morning walk. She is SO stubborn. There is a vacant field on both sides of my building and I wanted her to go into the field to do her business. No, she wanted to go directly in back of the property where all of my neighbors could see her. I took her into the field and she pulled and then just stood there. I ended up letting her go where she wanted to and sure enough, she "put on a show" for my neighbors. I picked it up

After coming back home, our power went out and I was right in the middle of answering hotel correspondence. We don't appreciate what we have until we don't have it, do we? I texted Rosie, who lives just down the street and her power was out as well. Eventually, it came back on and I finished my correspondence.
